Chord Diagram Settings

Instrument
Section titled “Instrument”Use this control to select your main instrument. This changes the behaviour of SongbookPro to work best for you. The supported instruments are:
- Guitar
- Piano
- Ukulele
- Banjo
- Mandolin
- Other
Chord diagrams are only currently supported for the guitar, ukulele, banjo and mandolin. In addition to controlling the type of chord diagrams available, this setting also makes some small tweaks to the interface to make it work best for your instrument.
A setting will also be available to customize the instrument tuning used where applicable.
Chord diagrams
Section titled “Chord diagrams”This setting block controls if chord diagrams are displayed on each song. When enabled, additional settings will be available to control the placement and size of the diagrams. Showing chord diagrams in left handed mode is also supported.
Known Chords
Section titled “Known Chords”If you want to hide individual chord diagrams from every displaying, you can long press the diagram to hide it. Hidden chord diagram will never show in the app. This setting is useful if you’re learning your instrument and only want to show chords you haven’t yet learned.
Once a chord diagram has been hidden, it will show up on this settings page where the action can be undone.
Default chord variants
Section titled “Default chord variants”When a chord diagram is displayed, you can always tap it to view all the different ways the chord can be played. If you want a particular chord variant to be shown for that song, you can select it to show as default by long pressing the selected variant. This setting is saved to the song you’re currently viewing.
